Meet Mike

Mike Farquhar is Co-Founder and Director of AVINU, responsible for the company’s commercial operations, project delivery and procurement. Since co-founding the business in 2009 alongside Darryl Roberts, Mike has played a pivotal role in developing AVINU into an award-winning smart home design and integration consultancy, ensuring the company’s projects are delivered with the professionalism, consistency and attention to detail for which it is recognised.

Experience & Expertise

With a strong corporate and commercial background, Mike oversees many of the operational aspects of the business, including procurement, project management and supplier relationships. His technical understanding of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, combined with years of experience coordinating complex residential projects, enables him to bridge the gap between design and delivery, ensuring projects are practical, well-organised and executed to the highest standards.

Mike works closely with clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure AVINU’s consultancy-led approach is supported by robust planning, clear communication and dependable delivery. His calm, methodical approach and commitment to quality play an important role in maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence.

Personal

Outside of work, Mike enjoys cooking, travel, spending time outdoors and walking his dog. Whether coordinating a complex project or exploring somewhere new with his family, he values planning, reliability and making the most of every experience.
