    Energy In Your Home

Working with clients and their M&E contractors, we understand the properties’ thermodynamic properties, along with the energy produced and consumed: energy sources are typically mains electric, gas and oil, along with renewable sources such as solar, battery storage, heat recovery, and now affordable heat pumps in all their various capacities. In addition to this we can also take advantage of solar gain.

The main energy consumer will of course be the heating of your water for both heat and domestic hot water, add to this towel rails, cooling and lighting, and of course electric vehicles, we can begin to develop your energy consumption profile.

So what is next? The introduction of a building management system [BMS] enables great granular monitoring and control allowing us to ensure we instruct all of the property’s services to be aligned to efficient usage. The aim is to embed this control with minimal input for the home owner, offering a simple to use home where you set your comfort levels leaving the services to adjust accordingly throughout the seasons.

    Did you know?

Have you heard of Passive homes, and EnerPHit building methodologies? These are the most efficient design practices used by architects to build a home that requires minimal energy. UK building regulations are changing year on year for setting compliancy for new build properties. Can we help you with energy control?

    Our Approach

With our experience supporting other clients and their M&E contractors, we will support you with understanding what options are available to you when it comes to your smart home energy management. Whether you have an old listed property, or designing one from the ground up, there are many aspects of how you control your home energy consumption. We would welcome the opportunity to give you further clarity on design and delivering your smart home energy control.
