Darryl Roberts is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of AVINU, responsible for the company’s overall strategy, direction and day-to-day operations. Since co-founding the business in 2009 alongside Mike Farquhar, Darryl has led AVINU’s evolution into an award-winning smart home design and integration consultancy, recognised for delivering some of the UK’s most refined intelligent homes.

With over 16 years of experience, Darryl remains closely involved in both the design philosophy and client journey, ensuring every project reflects AVINU’s core principles: clarity, performance, ease of use and long-term reliability. His focus is on positioning AVINU as a trusted authority within the industry, working collaboratively with homeowners, architects and project teams to design technology that enhances how people live, rather than complicating it.

Prior to founding AVINU, Darryl served in the Royal Air Force, an experience that instilled the operational discipline, teamwork and leadership principles that continue to shape the company’s culture and approach to project delivery today.
Personal
Outside of work, Darryl is a dedicated family man who enjoys travelling with his wife and making the most of time away from the business. A lifelong motorcyclist, he has a passion for riding that spans everything from track days to touring across Europe, often seeking out the same sense of precision, freedom and enjoyment that he values in both life and work.
