Five Storey Listed Home in Camberwell
The owners of this stunning property in a wonderful part of Camberwell came to us for our expertise to design and install full capability of control over all aspects of their newly renovated Victorian home. Heating, lighting, shading, music, TV, cinema, CCTV all updated. In keeping with the beautiful style of this building, we carefully selected traditional brass light switches and configured them to be part of the intelligent lighting control. The attention to detail was very important to our client and we were conscious of this in the fitting we sourced throughout the project.

Any integration of technology into the house needed to be complementary to the historical building and seamlessly merge with the client’s creative interior design taste. Having worked with AVINU previously, Dust Architecture were confident that we were the right fit for this unique project. After meeting with the client, AVINU specified the ELAN control system for the automation of the audio, CCTV and the home cinema. In tandem to this, KNX integration provides complete control over lighting, heating and shading.
Klipsch in-ceiling speakers were used to discreetly tprovide audio throughout the home and garden areas, whilst the ELAN system provides the ability to listen to different music in different areas of the house.
This is all easily controlled by the ELAN touchscreen panel controller, or by the ELAN app on any smart device.
The ELAN system integrates perfectly with the KNX system offering further control of the home’s lighting, heating and shading. Any operation is simple via wall mounted controllers or the ELAN smart device app which allows control over the entire house from anywhere in the world. CCTV footage can also be easily viewed at any time for an added sense of security.
Having worked with Dust Architecture previously, we were delighted when they asked us to meet a new client with a listed town house in South London. Following our meeting, we aligned a design that would give them all the control they needed over their home services, integrated into the fabric of the building.
One design feature was the relocating of the radiator valve controllers – we worked with the heating engineers to have these located in areas out of sight, just like an under#oor heating manifold. The end result speaks for itself.
They have held onto traditional design but ensured a modern lifestyle, along with music and a home cinema that hides away for when they are relaxing or entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed working with our architect partners and the other project contractors to make sure the clients got what they wanted with minimum hassle.
